Jimmy Webb tends to keep a low profile, but the humble warrior has\u00a0sent more V16s [8C+]<\/a>\u00a0than almost any other American, including the first ascents of\u00a0Sleepwalker<\/em>\u00a0in Black Velvet Canyon<\/a>, Nevada and\u00a0Ephyra<\/em>\u00a0in Chironico, Switzerland<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And he\u2019s not just a one-trick pony\u2014the 33-year-old boulderer knows how to handle a rope, as well. Webb made the second ascent of Empath<\/em> (9a+\/5.15a) in South Lake Tahoe, California this year, which marked a first of the grade for him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From his Tennessee roots, Webb has traveled from Switzerland to Rocklands<\/a> to Fontainebleau<\/a>, ticking off the world\u2019s toughest blocs. These days, developing is his main passion. He\u2019s now based out of Sacramento, California where he\u2019s exploring the untapped potential hidden in the Sierra Mountains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
